West Valley Pet Clinic in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to welcome pets and their owners from the moment they walk through our doors. The role supports a fast-paced, compassionate veterinary team and emphasizes a positive client experience.

You will greet clients, manage appointments, handle front-desk tasks, and assist in coordinating patient flow with veterinarians and technicians.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as veterinary receptionist or in a related animal care setting preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortable handling and interacting with animals of all sizes and temperaments.
• Proficiency with veterinary software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone) is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive and stress-free check-in experience.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, managing a busy multi-line phone system.
• Accurately enter and maintain client and patient records in veterinary practice management software.
• Process payments, invoices, and insurance claims at the front desk.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to coordinate patient flow.
• Respond to client inquiries in person, by phone, and via email regarding services, medications, and follow-up care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and waiting area.
