Dollar General seeks a Perishable Department Manager in California to oversee Produce, Fresh Meat, Dairy, Frozen, Bread and Bakery areas, ensuring fresh stock, attractive merchandise presentation, and strong customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy, training associates on proper handling and safety, managing scheduling support, and enforcing sanitation standards to protect assets and brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of retail clerk experience preferred.
• Lead experience and/or grocery store background is a plus.
• Must obtain local/state food handling certifications if applicable.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling procedures.

Responsabilités

• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume.
• Assist in training associates in presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Assist in training associates in proper and safe handling of food in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Accurately record inventory levels as requested by the Store Support Center.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and training associates in Perishable departments.
