Dollar General in Owingsville, KY is seeking a Perishable Departments Manager to oversee produce, dairy, meat, bakery, and other perishables. You will assist the Store Manager with inventory accuracy, merchandising presentation, and ensuring a safe work environment while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining stock levels, training associates, and ensuring compliance with food handling rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining perishable stock levels using store tools and planners.
• Ensure accurate cash accountability, key control, and adherence to security practices.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing standards for perishables.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance in perishable departments.
• Record inventory levels and complete perishable markdown analysis to prevent recurrences.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customers' needs promptly.
