Dollar General in Scottsville, KY is seeking a Perishable Department Manager to oversee Produce, Fresh Meat, Dairy, and Bakery sections. You will ensure accurate stock levels, attractive merchandising, and strong customer service while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

You will train associates, monitor schedules, review markdowns, and use plan-o-grams to uphold company standards. Prior retail lead experience and food handling certifications are preferred.

Formación

• Math basics for calculations and percentages.
• Cash handling procedures including deposit control.
• Cash register operations and POS familiarity.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices in food retail.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.

Responsabilidades

• Manage perishable departments (Produce, Fresh Meat, Dairy, Frozen, Bakery).
• Maintain correct stock levels based on store volume and seasonal demand.
• Oversee inventory controls and markdowns; ensure accurate records.
• Train associates on presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Ensure safe handling and sanitation in all perishable areas.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling coverage and staff development.
