Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of and willingness to comply with company policies and procedures as outlined in SOP manuals and communications.
• Ability and willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage Perishable Departments including Produce, Fresh Meat, Packaged Meats, Dairy, Frozen Food, Bread and related sections.
• Maintain inventory levels and pricing standards.
• Train associates on presentation, freshness and pricing, and safe food handling.
• Assist in scheduling coverage and store operations to meet store standards.
• Record markdowns and analyze causes to improve practices.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and Cleaning Schedule.
• Record inventory levels and report to Store Support Center.
