Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Ability to learn cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Ability to follow safety policies and obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring cash accountability and adherence to security practices.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using provided tools and reports.
• Train associates on perishable presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns; analyze causes and take corrective action.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Maintain sanitation and safe handling of food in perishable departments.
