Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Supervisor to manage the produce, meat, dairy, bakery, and frozen departments. You will assist in inventory control, merchandise presentation, and delivering quality customer service to store guests.

You will train and coach associates on freshness, pricing, and safety procedures, while maintaining compliance with food handling regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Leadership experience in grocery/retail environments regarded.
• Local/state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Perishable Departments (produce, meat, dairy, bakery) and ensure inventory control.
• Train and supervise associates in presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Maintain stock levels using per-store tools and reports.
• Ensure safe, compliant handling of foods and sanitation standards.
