Job summary

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to train associates in proper merchandising, freshness, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and safety rules.
• Ability to perform basic math, percentages and reports.
• Cash register functions and report generation capability.
• Review financial statements for trends and opportunities.
• Knowledge of cash handling, safety, and inventory practices.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with perishable departments and inventory management.
• Ensure safe working environment and protect company assets.
• Train associates in perishable presentation, freshness and pricing.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Maintain perishable stock levels based on store volume using planings.
• Provide excellent customer service and address needs promptly.
