Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Supervisor to manage the produce, dairy, and bakery sections, ensuring stock availability, price accuracy, and appealing merchandising. You will support the Store Manager with inventory management, safety compliance, and customer service excellence.

The role requires experience in retail environments, supervisory abilities, and the ability to train associates in proper handling of perishable goods and loss-prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic operating instructions and guidelines.
• Ability to perform basic math including percentages and discounts.
• Ability to learn cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Understand safety policies and food handling requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining inventory levels for perishables.
• Ensure accurate cash accountability and security practices.
• Train associates on perishable presentation, freshness, and pricing.
• Record perishable markdowns and investigate causes.
• Maintain plan-o-gram compliance and proper product rotation.
• Provide excellent customer service and address requests promptly.
