St. Luke's Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the full registration process for patients in outpatient and Emergency Department settings.

Responsibilities include demographics collection, insurance verification, real-time eligibility, and cash collections, with collaboration across departments to ensure smooth patient flow. The role requires excellent customer service, strong computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Formación

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous medical administrative experience and/or health care related education courses preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and validate patient in hospital information system to maintain EMR integrity.
• Identify and report any instances of possible identity theft to clinical department and leadership for escalation.
• Maintain knowledge of network policy on patient identification and related processes.
• Handle patient registration (pre-reg and post-reg), including demographics, emergency contact, orders, diagnosis, insurance verification, real-time eligibility, and cash collections.
• Cross-train across all locations and departments, including outpatient and Emergency Department areas.
• Greet patients and visitors, enforce visitor policy, and provide courteous service.
• Answer calls and provide information about the facility and services.
• Promote MyChart and patient self-service to engage patients in their care.
• Assist with Welcome Kiosk and On My Way technology for patient scheduling and arrival flow.
• Coordinate with SLPG practices and network prior authorization to obtain referrals and pre-certifications.
• Obtain medical license number, NPI, and UPIN for new provider entries to ensure proper claim submission.
