Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative. You will handle the full registration process for patients in outpatient and Emergency Department settings, including demographics, insurance verification and real-time eligibility. Flexibility to cover multiple sites is a plus.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, strong customer service, and teamwork with clinical and revenue cycle departments to ensure clean claims and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous medical administrative experience and/or health care related education courses preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients (pre-reg and post-reg) including demographics, insurance verification and payer information.
• Enter orders, diagnoses and provider information in registration screens.
• Coordinate with clinical departments and revenue cycle to ensure smooth patient experience and payment.
• Assist patients with Welcome Kiosk and MyChart self-service tools.
• May travel between campuses or locations as needed.
