Job summary

Hawthorne Health seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work as independent contractors on a per diem basis. You will travel regionally to patient homes to conduct in-home imaging visits, with travel and lodging reimbursed per visit.

Imaging follows protocol and ASE standards, with documentation completed after each visit. Requirements include active RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS credentials, BLS, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCS + RVT/RVS).
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes for in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits.
• Set up portable ultrasound equipment and explain procedures.
• Obtain informed cooperation and perform echocardiograms per protocol.
• Label images correctly for cardiology review and complete preliminary reports.
• Maintain ASE-compliant imaging quality and troubleshoot equipment.
