Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem as independent contractors. Travel regionally to patient homes for in-home imaging visits, with travel expenses reimbursed per visit.

You will operate portable ultrasound equipment, obtain consent, and deliver preliminary reports per protocol. Active RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS credentials, BLS, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g., RDCS/RCS plus RVT/RVS).
• BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
