Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem as independent contractors. You will travel regionally to patient homes to conduct in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, with travel expenses reimbursed per visit.

Rates are paid per visit and may include mileage, airfare, and hotel accommodations. Active RDCS/RCS with RVT/RVS credentials, BLS, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac imaging (e.g., RDCS or RCS) and vascular imaging (RVT or RVS).
• BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes for imaging visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment at each site.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain ASE-standard quality imaging; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
