Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem as independent contractors. You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging, with travel expenses reimbursed per visit.

The role requires active RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS registrations, BLS, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently in field settings. Per-visit compensation and remote support via AI tools may apply.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCS with RVT/RVS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability for field-based environments.
• Strong time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes regionally to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Label images for cardiology review and ensure proper documentation.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain ASE standards in imaging quality.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
