Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is hiring for a Manager in Merger Integration & Carve-outs within the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice in the US. The role provides exposure to pre‑deal synergy reviews, Day 1 readiness, and post‑close execution across portfolio companies.

You will lead workstreams, guide integration efforts, and deliver strategic and operational improvements across finance, HR, supply chain, IT, and commercial functions, with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience leading one or more workstreams in business transformation.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in one or more of Finance & Accounting, HR/Organizational design, or Sales/Marketing optimization.
• MBA preferred and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams within Integration Management Office (IMO) across synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, and integration roadmaps.
• Plan, execute, and drive Day 1 and Day 100 objectives, including operational optimization and back‑office integration.
• Lead large, complex client engagements delivering creative business and technology solutions for private equity clients.
• Track progress against Day 1/Day 100 objectives and adjust strategies or resources as needed.
• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and delivering actionable recommendations.
