Alvarez & Marsal in San Francisco seeks a Senior Associate for Merger Integration & Carve-Outs within its Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. You will engage in large, high-profile deals across the full lifecycle from pre-deal reviews to Day 1 planning and post-close execution.

This role requires 4+ years of consulting experience in merger integration, MBA preferred, and exceptional communication. Willingness to travel ~75% and a collaborative, results-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in finance, HR/organisational design, leadership, or related areas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Travel willingness to at least 75% is required and demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing actionable recommendations.
• Assist with workstreams within the Integration Management Office (IMO)—Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 Readiness, and more.
• Support Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvements in key areas.
• Drive performance improvement assessments and help implement recommendations.
• Track progress and adjust integration strategies as required.
