Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Merger Integration & Carve-outs (MI&C) team in the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. You will support large complex deals across the US, driving Day 1/Day 100 planning, integration roadmaps, and performance improvements for portfolio companies.

Ideal candidates will have 4–6+ years in consulting, deep functional expertise in finance, HR or leadership, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in at least one: Finance & Accounting ops, HR/Organizational design, or Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Initiative and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations.
• Assist with workstreams within the Integration Management Office – Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 Readiness, and more.
• Lead Day 1 and Day 100 planning and drive performance improvements across functions.
• Contribute to strategic planning and back-office consolidation, including IT and supply chain.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with clients and external stakeholders.
