Job summary

Notion is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support the employee lifecycle, benefits, global mobility, HR systems, and related processes. You’ll own end-to-end workflows from offer through growth, ensuring records remain accurate and guiding employees and partners with clear updates.

You’ll work hands-on, triaging cases and coordinating with Global Mobility, Recruiting, Legal, Finance, and IT. The role can be based in New York or San Francisco, with anchor in-person days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in People Operations or related service-operations role.
• Hands-on Workday experience managing employee data and lifecycle changes.
• Experience handling inquiries via a case-tracking system or ticketing queue.
• Ability to create or improve SOPs and operational reports.
• Strong customer service orientation and clear written communication.

Responsibilities

• Process HRIS and employee-lifecycle transactions and maintain data quality.
• Serve as Tier 1 employee support; triage and resolve requests.
• Coordinate benefits transactions and compliance workflows.
• Manage immigration and relocation cases with stakeholders.
• Handle routine cases using documented guidance and escalate exceptions.
• Collaborate with Global Mobility, Recruiting, Legal, Finance, IT.
• Support SOC2 compliance and maintain employee files.
• Contribute to ad-hoc process improvement projects.
