Job summary

Notion is seeking a People Operations Generalist to provide hands-on operational support across People programs. You’ll handle employee lifecycle tasks from offer to growth, maintain data integrity, and help teams navigate processes with clear updates.

You’ll proactively manage benefits transactions, global mobility processes, and HR systems while partnering with Recruiting, Legal, Finance, and IT. This role offers anchor days in SF/NYC and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in People Operations, benefits administration, global mobility coordination, or a related service-operations role.
• Workday proficiency, with hands-on experience managing employee data, processing lifecycle changes, and generating reports.
• Experience managing inquiries through a case-tracking system or ticketing queue (Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Experience creating or improving SOPs through documentation and operational reports.

Responsibilities

• Process HRIS and employee-lifecycle transactions; maintain clean People data in HRIS through audits and handoffs.
• Serve as Tier 1 support; triage and resolve questions via ticketing system.
• Coordinate routine benefits transactions; support eligibility and data accuracy; liaise with providers and Payroll.
• Initiate and track immigration/relocation cases; coordinate with stakeholders to move cases forward.
• Resolve routine cases using documented guidance; route exceptions to specialists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global Mobility, Recruiting, Legal, Finance, IT.
• Maintain SOC2 compliance and employee records; support audits.
• Support ad-hoc projects to improve processes and employee experience.
