Job summary

Etched in San Jose, CA is seeking a hands-on People Operations Generalist to own the employee experience from offer letter to last day, and to build scalable systems as we scale.

You’ll own the employee lifecycle, manage immigration with outside counsel, administer Rippling, and drive HR compliance and data-driven decisions across the org. This role thrives in fast-paced, high-talent-density environments.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in People Operations, HR, or generalist roles at fast-growing startups.
• Hands-on Rippling administration: workflows, reports, integrations.
• Managed work authorization/immigration cases (H-1B, O-1, green cards) with outside counsel.
• Proficient with Jira, Slack, Ironclad, and GSuite.
• Data analysis: translate exports into clear, actionable reports.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle end-to-end from offer to offboarding.
• Manage immigration processes with outside counsel to keep cases on track.
• Own Rippling as HRIS; build workflows and maintain data accuracy.
• Build and optimize People systems and automate repetitive tasks.
• Handle core People Ops work, including leaves, compliance, and offboarding.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and handbooks as the org scales.
• Analyze headcount, hiring, and engagement data; provide leadership with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and Recruiting on cross-functional initiatives.
• Support recognition efforts and plan team events.
• Manage vendor relationships for benefits, workers' comp, and EORs.
• Handle leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, and employee-relations cases with care.
