Job summary

Nooks is seeking a detail-oriented People Operations Generalist to build and run the People infrastructure as we scale. You’ll own HRIS, onboarding, benefits, leaves, immigration, Total Rewards administration, and employee lifecycle operations.

This role emphasizes simplifying complex processes, data-driven decision making, and delivering a great employee experience. The position is hybrid with 3 days onsite in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a People/HR role in a high-growth startup environment.
• Detail-oriented and data-driven mindset with a drive to optimize processes.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple recurring processes.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding, offboarding, benefits, compliance and employee lifecycle management.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers navigating People programs and systems.
• Help own our HRIS and broader People tech stack, including configuration, data, workflows, reporting and troubleshooting.
• Own onboarding operations to ensure a smooth start for new hires.
• Administer benefits programs and support enrollment, eligibility and life events.
• Coordinate employee leaves and immigration in partnership with vendors and Legal.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
