Job summary

Carter's, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You will foster an inclusive environment, coach the team, and help customers discover our baby essentials and celebrated brand lines.

This role supports staffing, training, and daily operations while upholding Carter's values and service standards. You will lead with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset, manage KPIs with the team, and ensure a safe, welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Retail or related management experience (minimum 1 year)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed
• Availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays, with at least two closing shifts per week

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure customer focus on the sales floor
• Welcome customers and assist with product styles, features and benefits
• Coach and develop store team to meet service standards
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training
• Plan and analyze tasks and financial results using company tools
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising standards and promotions
• Reduce loss through customer service and operational controls
