Job summary

Carter's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You will lead a team, coach staff, and ensure excellent customer service on the sales floor.

This role supports merchandising, scheduling, and driving sales while maintaining a welcoming store culture. You will help recruit, train, and develop associates, manage daily operations, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong leadership, customer engagement and communication skills.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and web navigation.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a customer-focused sales floor.
• Welcome customers and assist with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Model service standards and omnichannel experience; coach others to success.
• Analyze the business and drive KPIs with the team to improve results.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, training, and developing store staff.
