Job summary

Carter’s, Inc. in Gonzales, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll lead a team, welcome customers, and coach colleagues to deliver our product knowledge and service standards on the sales floor.

You will partner with the Store Manager to plan staffing, execute merchandising standards, manage KPIs, and build loyalty through company programs while fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our great product styles, features and benefits
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers
• Coach others to success while modeling service standards and omnichannel experience
• Analyze the business and drive KPIs with the team
• Build customer loyalty through Company sponsored programs, including credit
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing the store team
• Plan, track, analyze, and report completion of tasks and financial results
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising, promotional planning, and product placement
• Reduce loss through customer service, education, and controls
