Job summary

SpartanNash, located in Rockford, MI, seeks an Associate Engagement Coordinator to drive the employment life cycle and implement internal engagement initiatives that foster a people-first culture. You will support hiring, orientation, training, safety, and store communications.

Responsibilities include managing the full-cycle recruiting process in Workday, onboarding, and collaboration with the local HR partner to staff events. You will oversee 90-day onboarding and daily engagement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• College coursework or degree in Business Administration, HR, or related area preferred.
• 1 year of HR administrative support experience or related coursework required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills; ability to interact with associates at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle recruiting process in Workday: posting jobs, conducting interviews, coordinating final interviews with store leadership, and completing offers and onboarding.
• Set up and conduct store orientations as needed.
• Partner with local HR Business Partner to post or add hiring events or resources.
• Manage first 90 days of employment for new hires to validate training and drive engagement; measure early stage retention.
• Own store engagement programs including daily/weekly/periodic recognition.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication.
• Maintain compliance and handle terminations, I-9 processing, and related HR tasks at store level.
• Manage associate experiences in break rooms, offices, training spaces, etc.
