Job summary

SpartanNash's Family Fare store in Fargo, ND is seeking an Associate Engagement Coordinator to drive the employment life cycle, support hiring, onboarding, training, safety and store communications.

You will manage full-cycle recruiting in Workday, run new hire onboarding, partner with local HR, oversee 90‑day onboarding, and own store engagement programs and timely terminations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• HR admin support experience or coursework preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle recruiting in Workday, post jobs, interview, and coordinate final interviews with store leadership.
• Oversee onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
• Partner with local HRBP to post events and staffing resources as needed.
• Manage first 90 days to validate training and drive retention.
• Own store engagement programs including daily, weekly and period recognitions.
• Ensure compliance at store level and manage I-9, minor work permits, and reporting.
• Oversee associate areas (break rooms, offices, training spaces).
• Possibly cover weekly schedules as needed.
