Job summary

Compare Foods seeks an HR Lead to own the full employee lifecycle across two stores, handling hiring, onboarding, policy, relations, compliance, and development. This hands-on role includes time on the sales floor and interaction with store managers to ensure best HR practices.

You will manage payroll and timekeeping, maintain records, and support benefits. Strong communication and discretion are essential for success in a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on HR experience including recruiting, employee relations, and compliance.
• Working knowledge of federal and North Carolina employment law, I-9/E-Verify, and wage-and-hour rules.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and document them thoroughly.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, and a team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Own the full employee life cycle across two stores: hiring, onboarding, policy, employee relations, compliance, and development.
• Collaborate with recruiters (external and internal) to ensure best hiring practices.
• Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling interviews and meetings.
• Serve as the first point of contact for HR and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of disciplinary actions and communications.
• Track payroll/timekeeping and assist with benefits administration.
• Update and communicate policies to employees and managers.
• Coordinate training and development programs across both locations.
