Job summary

Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) seeks a Patient Operations Specialist to greet patients, schedule appointments, handle registrations, and support navigation of the patient portal. You’ll coordinate calls and insurance verification while upholding HIPAA and clinic policies.

This role requires strong customer service, proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred), and the ability to work across COPA sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications include AHIMA RHIT, AAPC CPC, or OHA HCI Qualified/Certified Interpreter (Not required).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Handle patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and EMR documentation.
• Coordinate communication across departments to support daily clinic operations.
• Manage administrative tasks including scanning, payments, audits, and patient portal support.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance while supporting workflow, problem-solving, and team training.
