Job summary

Construction Materials Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to act as seller-doer engineers, blending business development with technical workload. You will maintain client relationships, seal reports, and manage projects with laboratory support provided by the company.

Expect travel to client offices and sites as part of the role. You will develop proposals, price services, and negotiate terms with general contractors, owners, and design firms.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the state of posting or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Track record of bringing in work or a credible plan to win work in this market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects won: review data, seal reports/letters, and resolve issues.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
