Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to act as seller-doers, blending business development with technical review and seal responsibility. You will manage client relationships, develop testing programs, and contribute to engineering analysis and reporting.

You will travel to client sites, lead proposals, and coordinate with our laboratory and field staff. A successful candidate brings a strong win rate, technical depth, and a capacity to translate opportunities

Qualifications

Active PE license required or by comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection.
Proven track record of bringing in work or a credible plan to do so.
Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and saying no to unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients — general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms — for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record on the projects you win: review field and laboratory data, seal reports/letters.
Direct technicians and inspectors on your projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
