Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to act as seller-doers, blending business development with engineering rigor. You will develop a book of clients for materials testing, geotechnical services, and special inspection while reviewing data, sealing reports, and directing lab work.

Travel to client sites is expected, and the compensation includes base salary plus revenue share.

Qualifications

• Active PE license (civil, geotechnical, or structural).
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Track record of bringing in work or a clear plan to do so in this market.
• Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record: review field and laboratory data, seal reports, and direct technicians.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
