Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to develop client relationships while overseeing technical work in materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services. The seller-doer will balance business development with project reviews, sealing reports, and coordinating with our laboratory team.

The role is office-to-field oriented, requiring travel to client sites and meetings, with a compensation model that rewards revenue you bring in alongside base

Qualifications

Active PE license in the posting state or by comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection.
Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to win new business.
Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and declining unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a client book for materials testing, inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record; review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters.
Direct technicians and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
