Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to advance PCB/CCA manufacturability across programs and lead production-ready designs. You will drive design reviews, collaborate with suppliers, and mentor peers to improve cycle times and reliability.

You will travel to supplier sites as needed, guide BOM decisions, ensure IPC compliance, and push continuous improvement across RTX projects to deliver cost-effective, high-quality hardware.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with at least 8 years of experience.
• Experience with IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews for PCB/CCA from inception to manufacturing.
• Provide supplier support, including onsite travel and coordination between RTX stakeholders and suppliers, disposition defects, and drive supplier collaboration.
• Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
• Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package to ensure IPC adherence.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
• Develop and manage BOM to optimize CCA manufacturing and minimize rework.
