Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) in Tucson, AZ to lead PCB/CCA design activities from concept through manufacturing. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, and production to optimize cycle time and cost while ensuring producibility and quality.

The PDE role emphasizes design for manufacturability, technical data package reviews, and close coordination with suppliers. Onsite work in Tucson with opportunities for travel and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects with ability to multi-task and establish schedule based on priorities.
• Self-starter that seeks to connect the dots between engineering disciplines and actively reaches out to SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews with a multi-disciplined team from inception to manufacturing of PCB and CCA designs.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
• Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package to ensure IPC adherence.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
• BOM development and management.
• Review supplier data and lessons learned to ensure product excellence.
• Travel to visit suppliers.
