The Skills Trainer plays a meaningful, community-facing role within Northeast Arc's Personal Care Management (PCM) program, directly supporting that mission every day.

The Northeast Arc Personal Care Management (PCM) program serves about 5,000 individuals living in communities throughout northeastern Massachusetts, Greater Boston, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in Human Service field preferred.
• Prior experience with individuals with disabilities preferred; bilingual a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and entering data into a database.

Responsibilities

• Assess PCA applications with a nurse and occupational therapist and prepare PCA submissions.
• Teach individuals how to hire, train, supervise, and pay PCAs after approval.
• Provide skills training following the Medicaid curriculum and guide PCA program phases.
• Conduct home visits to assess consumer needs and provide in-person support.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the program database.
• Support consumers through ongoing case management and respond to changes in care needs.
• Collaborate with the PCM team to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Participate in department meetings and trainings related to the Medicaid PCA Program.
