Job summary

The Skills Trainer at Northeast Arc supports people with disabilities through the Personal Care Management (PCM) program, blending office and fieldwork to help clients apply for and manage PCA services and navigate Medicaid processes. You will guide clients in hiring PCAs and understanding payroll and compliance within a community‑based setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary PCM team to conduct home visits, document progress, and provide hands‑on training while building lasting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BA/BS in Human Service field preferred.
• Prior experience with individuals with disabilities preferred; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess PCA applications with nurse and occupational therapist and prepare submissions.
• Teach clients how to hire, train, supervise, and pay PCAs after approval.
• Provide PCA program education and how to manage payroll and paperwork.
• Conduct home visits to assess needs and provide on-site support.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the program database.
• Support ongoing case management and respond to changes in care needs.
• Collaborate with PCM team to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Participate in department meetings and Medicaid PCA trainings.
