Job summary

Northeast Arc seeks a Skills Trainer to support individuals with disabilities through the Personal Care Management (PCM) program, helping them navigate the MassHealth PCA process and live more independently.

The role blends office and community-based work, requiring collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, and administrative staff to ensure high‑quality service delivery and successful PCA outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in Human Service field preferred.
• Prior experience providing service to individuals with disabilities preferred; bilingual a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assess the personal care needs of individuals in collaboration with a nurse and occupational therapist; prepare PCA applications.
• Teach individuals how to hire, train, supervise, and pay their own PCAs after approval.
• Provide skills training to consumers with an active Prior Authorization; educate on all PCA program phases.
