Job summary

Garver is seeking a Payroll Specialist II to join our Finance Team in New Orleans, LA. The role supports a wide range of payroll functions, collaborating with the Corporate Payroll Manager and Finance Team.

You will process payroll via ADP, reconcile data, and handle inquiries to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. The position requires multi-state payroll experience, confidentiality, strong Excel/Word/Publisher skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of payroll experience.
• Multi-State payroll processing experience required.
• FPC or CPP certification and/or ADP Payroll Certification preferred.
• HIPAA compliance training completed.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll using ADP with a high degree of accuracy.
• Enter and reconcile payroll data in HRIS systems and spreadsheets.
• Monitor payroll inbox and respond to inquiries the same day.
• Maintain payroll records for each bi-weekly cycle.
• Ensure compliance with state and local tax filing requirements.
• Assist with ACA reporting requirements and external audits.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports as needed.
