Job summary

ImageCare Latham is hiring a full-time Patient Support Representative. The role primarily handles high-volume phone calls and schedules patient appointments in a structured office.

Key responsibilities include answering phones, returning calls, scheduling, and updating patient records in a timely, accurate manner. A year of experience and strong computer skills are preferred in a professional, caring environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; additional education desirable.
• Minimum of one year work experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phone system, forwarding calls or handling calls for appointments.
• Remove messages and return calls to patients as needed.
• Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary.
• Schedule appointments for patients following office protocols.
• Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately.
• Transfer/retrieve office phones to/from answering service.
• Answer overflow of phone calls and direct appropriately.
• Process incoming telephone calls/messages based on office policy.
