Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree – may consider years of working experience in lieu of degree.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Some college with emphasis on business or healthcare.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register patients into the clinic and process demographic, insurance, and scheduling details.
• Schedule patients for appointments by phone, in person, or electronically.
• Collect co-pays and address past due balances as directed.
• Greet patients and visitors, assisting with check-in procedures.
• Assist with insurance and billing functions and routine administrative tasks.
• Educate staff and physicians on scheduling processes and computer systems.
