Job summary

PathGroup in Cypress, TX is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform phlebotomy and patient service duties in the PSC or in-office setting. You will interact with clients and patients, collect specimens, document accurately, and maintain records in PathGroup systems.

The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage fluctuating patient flow. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, with phlebotomy certification preferred ( Louisiana requires it ).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers with courtesy.
• Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens per established procedures and explains the process clearly to patients.
• Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as required by test orders.
• Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and other PathGroup systems.
• Maintains records and logs for PSC/IOPST Patient Services Technician.
• Performs basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
