PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting. The role involves phlebotomy and specimen processing with strict adherence to established procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely completion while maintaining a courteous interaction with clients and patients.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to handle fluctuating patient flow, and compliance with privacy and safety standards.

Formación

• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required based on state and laboratory guidelines).

Responsabilidades

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture clearly.
• Disposes of biohazards according to laws and policies.
• Enters patient and test information into PathConnect and other systems.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples at required temperatures.
• Maintains records and logs for PSC/IOPST Patient Services Technician.
• Performs basic clerical duties including electronic data entry and time/expense logging.
