Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform phlebotomy, specimen handling, and data entry in a fast-paced PSC environment. You will greet patients, collect specimens, and ensure accurate documentation and secure transport of samples.

The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to explain procedures to patients. Preferred education includes a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification, with Louisiana requiring certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required by state guidelines).
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and assist PSC patients.
• Perform field phlebotomy and specimen collection accurately.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and reduce patient anxiety.
• Document requisitions and enter data in PathConnect and related systems.
• Package and transport specimens maintaining required temperatures.
• Maintain records and PSC/IOPST logs.
