Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting, executing forensic and clinical specimen collection with accuracy and care. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff in a professional manner while following established procedures.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry in PathConnect, packaging and transport of specimens, and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Louisiana required).
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides courteous service.
• Collects venipuncture and other specimens accurately and on time.
• Explains collection procedures clearly and calms patients as needed.
• Uses PathConnect and other PathGroup systems to enter patient and billing data.
• Prepares, labels, centrifuges, and transports specimens per protocol.
• Maintains records, logs, and daily PSC/IOPST technician logs.
• Adheres to PPE, safety, and confidentiality policies; communicates with supervisor as needed.
