Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office PST setting. You will interact with clients and patients, perform phlebotomy and processing duties with accuracy, and follow established protocols to maintain specimen integrity.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and privacy policies, and the ability to handle fluctuating patient flow while supporting team activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
• Phlebotomist certification preferred; required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and maintain a courteous environment.
• Collect specimens accurately and on time following procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection steps clearly to patients.
• Enter patient and billing information into computer systems with attention to accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens per test orders; prepare for transport.
