Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities at the PSC or as an in-office PST. You will interact with clients and patients professionally and handle forensic and clinical specimen collection following established procedures.

The role requires accurate data entry, adherence to safety and privacy policies, and the ability to maintain records and assist with data reporting. On-site position with standard lab operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with specimen collection and processing.
• Ability to collect specimens following established procedures.
• Attention to detail for accurate data entry and records.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and patients professionally.
• Ensures specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Performs venipuncture and other specimen collection with clear explanations to patients.
• Disposes of biohazards per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and other systems.
• Enters patient and billing information accurately in computer systems.
• Matches requisition forms to specimens and processes accordingly.
• Packages and stores specimens for transport while maintaining integrity.
• Maintains daily records and logs for PSC/IOPST.
• Assists with monthly statistics and basic clerical duties.
• Adheres to grooming, PPE, and lab safety policies.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of patient data.
