Washington Radiology in Sterling, VA is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our front desk team. You will greet patients warmly, register demographics and insurance information in our RIS, and explain forms to patients while maintaining confidentiality.

This full-time role supports scheduling, payments processing, and insurance verifications as needed, ensuring accurate records and a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years in healthcare registration or customer service preferred.
• Basic cash handling and numeric skills required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Register patients including input of demographic and insurance information into RIS and verify accuracy.
• Explain forms to patients and assist with form completion.
• Process paperwork and maintain confidentiality.
• Collect patient payments and explain benefits as needed.
• Verify insurance when necessary.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments.
• Generate daily invoice journal and reconcile payments.
• Participate in front office training and stay current on policies.
