Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging in Bonney Lake, WA is seeking a Registration Specialist to greet patients, register for radiology procedures, answer phones, and coordinate with facilities in a welcoming, professional manner.

The role includes verifying insurance, collecting payments, handling paperwork, and navigating the RIS system. You will work on a team, support front-desk operations, and adhere to HIPAA policies while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of radiology procedures including Mammography, CT, MRI, and more.
• Proficiency with CPT codes and the RIS system.
• Strong phone etiquette and professional communication.
• Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate customer service.
• Clear communication with patients and facilities.
• Ability to navigate to multiple outpatient locations.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients for radiology procedures.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and demographics; ensure paperwork is complete for the modality and coordinate with facilities.
• Collect account payments.
• Perform routine admin tasks including word processing, referrals, faxing, and keeping areas clean and organized.
• Document scanning and RIS navigation.
• Check work email daily.
• Follow HIPAA privacy and security policies.
