GBMC HealthCare is seeking an entry-level Patient Access/Clerical support to assist practice operations in a fast-paced environment. You will manage patient communications, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and support MyChart registration.

This role requires strong customer service, accurate data entry, and the ability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining attention to detail and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 6 months of related experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and data entry
• Ability to manage high phone volume and schedule appointments

Responsabilités

• Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls.
• Schedules patient appointments and enters demographic information.
• Verifies insurance information and obtains referrals as needed.
• Assists patients with MyChart registration.
• Manages high volume of telephone calls and routes to providers.
• Checks in patients, verifies insurance, collects and scans IDs.
• Manages referrals and incoming faxes; scans medical records to MRN.
• Responds to In Basket messages and EPIC Secure chats.
• Collects co-payments and performs simple arithmetic; assists with payments.
• Assists with scheduling diagnostic tests and preauthorization.
